From tanks to fighter jets, here’s every vehicle class confirmed for Battlefield 6 so far.
Battlefield 6 is almost here, and it feels like the classic sandbox chaos is back. Hands-on previews this week showed big, messy firefights on the huge Mirak Valley map and a remade Operation Firestorm, with vehicles running the show in all the best ways.
EA has Battlefield 6 slated for October 10, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC, and the lead-up has been packed with new gameplay and early press coverage. Today, we’ve also got a clean look at the full set of vehicle types confirmed for launch, exactly what you need to plan your squad’s roles on day one.
All Vehicles in Battlefield 6 Detailed
There are a total of eight different vehicle classes in Battlefield 6. Check them out below.
Main Battle Tank (MBT)
Your frontline sledgehammer. MBTs anchor pushes, break stalemates, and soak damage while infantry follows behind. Expect strong armor, heavy shells, and the need for a dedicated repair buddy. Features 2 seats.
“Built for engaging enemy land vehicles but can also effectively combat enemy infantry.”
Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV)
A little faster and more flexible than a main tank. These usually carry infantry passengers and provide backup firepower with autocannons or grenade launchers. Features 6 seats.
“Effectively counters hostile infantry but has limited capability against heavy enemy armor.”
Light Ground Transport
These are your go-to for fast movement across the map. Usually unarmored or lightly armored, but great for squad mobility and flanking. Features 5 seats.
“Designed for rapid battlefield traversal. Equipped with firepower to combat hostiles.”
Mobile Anti-Air
Designed to keep the skies clear. These units typically pack autocannons or missile systems to take down helicopters and jets fast. Features 1 seat.
“Capable of using dual autocannons and homing missiles to combat enemy aircraft.”
Attack Helicopter
Agile flying vehicles with powerful weapons. A good attack helicopter can lock down an objective or make life miserable for exposed infantry. Features 2 seats.
“Highly effective at engaging all ground targets, especially when both crew positions are manned.”
Transport Helicopter
Perfect for getting squads behind enemy lines. These are more about movement and spawn support than firepower, though some may include side-mounted guns. Features 5 seats.
“This transport helicopter serves as a vital component in air assault. Two side-mounted miniguns aid in self-defense.”
Attack Jet
These jets bring speed and destruction. Think bombing runs, precision strikes, and chaotic flybys that hit hard and vanish fast. Features 1 seat.
“A fast multirole attack aircraft specialized in engaging all ground targets, including vehicles and infantry.”
Fighter Jet
Built for aerial dominance. These usually don’t carry bombs; instead, they’re meant to hunt other aircraft with machine guns and air-to-air missiles. Features 1 seat.
“A stealth fighter that specializes in combating other air vehicles, with limited air-to-ground combat capabilities.”
