With the launch of The Final Shape, Bungie has shifted away from the previous seasonal model to the episodic release structure. Now, instead of four seasons a year, Destiny 2 players will get three larger episodes per year.

Each of these episodes will have three acts with each act having a runtime of six weeks. The first episode, called Echoes, has officially been released in Destiny 2, adding a new set of seasonal challenges, season pass rewards, and tons of new weapons and armor for you to unlock.
