UPDATE: Talking about enhanceable perks on randomly-rolled weapons, Chris Proctor, Combat Area Design Lead at Bungie, has revealed that while players will be able to enhance the perks on the upcoming Into the Light, Prophecy dungeon, and playlist weapons, this feature will only be available for perks available in column 3 and column 4; players will not be able to customize Barrel, Magazine or Mastwork on these weapons.
Proctor said that this feature is only available on Adept weapons from the raids. “The bar that we’re going to use is, if the base set is craftable, the Adept weapons can pick Barrel, Magazines; currently that’s only for raid weapons, so it does not apply here. So, the Into the Light weapons and other 7.3.5 weapons will be enhanced Trait 0 and Trait 1 only,” Procter explained during the latest episode of Podcast Versus Enemies.
Proctor also revealed that only Limited Edition variants of Into the Light weapons can get one extra perk in columns 3 and 4, and players will be able to enhance all four of these perks in the last two columns.
Bungie has also confirmed that while these weapons are not craftable, players will be able to enhance them with upgraded perks.
