Destiny 2 Into the Light Exotic Missions Revealed
During the third and the last developer livestream for Into the Light, Bungie has officially confirmed that Destiny 2 Into the Light update will bring back The Whisper and Zero Hour exotic missions.
As for the release window, The Whisper will be coming out with the launch of Into the Light on Tuesday, April 9th, and Zero Hour will be released in May 2024.
Additionally, as a result of The Whisper and Zero Hour returning, Bungie has also confirmed that players will be able to craft the exotic weapons associated with these missions, namely Whisper of the Worm and Outbreak Perfected.
Moreover, Bungie has said that the returning versions of these two exotic missions will be different compared to the original, with updated secret chest locations, changes to the boss fight mechanics, and more.
These missions will have two difficulty levels: Normal and Legend. In the Normal version, players will have 40 minutes to complete the mission. However, the Legend difficulty will only allot 20 minutes, so players should be prepared for a more challenging experience.
The Whisper mission was added back in July 2018 and marked one of the first exotic missions in Destiny 2. It was a part of the secret quest for the Whisper of the Worm exotic sniper rifle.
Zero Hour, on the other hand, made its debut in May 2019, bringing back the raid exotic Outbreak Perfected from Destiny 1’s Wrath of the Machine. Both of these exotic missions were removed from the game with the launch of Beyond Light in 2020.
As the release date for the Into the Light update draws near, anticipation among the Destiny 2 community continues to build. Whether you’re a veteran player or a New Light, this free update is your chance to tackle The Whisper and Zero Hour missions once again.
Destiny 2 Into the Light is set to release on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
