Here’s the full weekly rotation for Destiny 2’s Rite of the Nine dungeons, including when all three will be available at once.

Destiny 2’s limited-time Rite of the Nine event launched with a lot of hype last week, followed by just as much confusion. While players were excited about returning dungeons, updated loot, and new difficulty options, the lack of clear communication around the dungeon schedule led to major backlash.

Many assumed each dungeon would rotate weekly, only to log in earlier today and find Spire of the Watcher still the only option. The confusion only grew louder as Bungie didn’t initially confirm how long each dungeon would remain active.

Destiny 2 Rite of the Nine Dungeon Rotation Confirmed

Following the backlash from players across Reddit, Bungie Forums, and social media, we now have an answer. Bungie’s Principal Communications Manager, Dylan Gafner, posted an update on Twitter (X), clarifying the full rotation schedule for the Rite of the Nine event.

According to new details, each dungeon will run for three weeks, followed by one final week where all three dungeons, Spire of the Watcher, Ghosts of the Deep, and Prophecy, will be available together.

This clarification comes after a wave of player feedback calling out Bungie for poor communication and timegating. Gafner acknowledged the issue, writing:

“Dungeons are currently slated to be 3 weeks at a time. Spire > Ghosts > Prophecy, followed by all being available for a final week.”

He also said that the team is working on improving communication going into the Edge of Fate expansion. “We’ll take a closer look going into The Edge of Fate on how we can tighten up the delivery of info. Keep things punchy but also give appropriate room to dive through features to answer some Q’s.”

So, if you were waiting for a specific dungeon to farm your loot, now you’ve got the dates. And if you’d rather wait until everything is unlocked, that last week in July is your time to shine.
