Here’s your first look at the new Destiny 2’s Solstice 2025 armor, weapons, and cosmetics following the release of the Edge of Fate update.
The wait is finally over! The Edge of Fate is here, officially kicking off the Year of Prophecy in Destiny 2. With the new expansion landing today, players can look forward to a brand-new story campaign, new weapons and armor, and the much-anticipated Desert Perpetual raid, which goes live later this week. But alongside all that excitement, there’s something else longtime players know to expect: the return of Destiny 2’s yearly events.
Just like past years, there will be four major annual holiday events during the Year of Prophecy: Guardian Games, Solstice, Festival of the Lost, and The Dawning. And thanks to a new datamine, we’ve just gotten our first peek at what Solstice 2025 has in store.
Destiny 2 Solstice 2025 Weapons and Armor Leak
Following the release of the Edge of Fate update, we managed to get our hands on the files pointing to Solstice 2025 content. This includes an in-game splash screen showing off the new armor sets, weapons, and several cosmetics. The leak gives us a clear look at what’s coming.
The Solstice 2025 armor features each class decked out in colorful, beach-inspired gear. Titans rock bright blue swim shorts, inflatable shoulder pads, and even a yellow duck floatie strapped to their waist. Warlocks channel full vacation vibes with a straw sunhat, balloon animal accessory, and tropical patterns wrapped into their robe.
And Hunters look like deep-sea scouts, suited up in wetsuit-style armor with wave decals, a safety ring, and built-in goggles.
Two new weapons are confirmed: a Grenade Launcher and a Submachine Gun, both styled with a blue-and-gold ocean wave design. These are part of the new Holofoil weapon line, which Bungie says will be featured in every major event this year.

“Solstice 2025 is here. Bring the heat, Guardians, the time has come to bask in the warm glow of our victories. Collect rewards like the new Grenade Lunacher, Submachine Gun, and more. Customize your style with new universal ornament sets added to Eververse.
“Play activities with fiery new modifiers and upgrade your armor until it glows. Start the celebration by visiting Eva Levante in the Tower or by opening the event home in the Portal.”
We also spotted new ships, a shark-shaped Skimmer vehicle, a chef Ghost Shell, shaders, and at least one new Sparrow. Most of these will likely appear in Eververse, while some might be tied to the event’s progression track.
Note: As always, take this information with a grain of salt. While the assets were found in the game files following the Edge of Fate update, it’s possible that some details could change before Solstice 2025 officially goes live.

Destiny 2 Solstice 2025 Release Date
Bungie hasn’t officially revealed the launch date yet, but based on past years, Solstice 2025 is expected to go live sometime in August. The event usually runs for three weeks and features the return of Bonfire Bash, armor upgrades, and themed loot.
There will also be a brand-new event reward track included, giving players more cosmetic unlocks as they play through the seasonal content.
