Destiny: Rising has crossed 10 million pre-registrations ahead of its August 28 launch, unlocking all milestone rewards, including an exotic weapon ornament.
Destiny: Rising, the upcoming mobile spin on Bungie’s sci-fi shooter series, is getting closer to its big day. Developed by NetEase in collaboration with Bungie, the game officially launches worldwide on August 28, 2025, for iOS and Android.
Over the past year, players got an early taste through a closed alpha and a closed beta, where the team tested new features like dual-wielding, new Lightbearer characters, and new destinations. Now, just weeks before release, the game has reached a huge community milestone, and it means free loot for everyone who plays at launch.
Destiny: Rising Crosses 10 Million Pre-Registrations
According to the game’s official website, Destiny: Rising has now passed 10 million pre-registrations across iOS and Android. That’s enough to hit the final goal in the pre-registration campaign, unlocking every single milestone reward that’s been on offer.
In total, there were five milestone tiers. Each tier comes with its own exclusive reward that will be available to all players after launch. Here’s the full breakdown:
- 500K: 20,000 Glimmer
- 1M: 5 Silver Leaves
- 2M: 20 Enhancement Prisms
- 5M: 10 Bon Voyage Charm
- 10M: Exotic Weapon Ornament
The developers note that once the 5 million milestone rewards are unlocked, all milestone rewards will be sent directly to players’ in-game mailboxes as soon as they complete Chapter 1-1 after launch. “Note: Once the 5 million milestone rewards are successfully unlocked, they will be delivered to players’ mailbox as soon as they unlock Chapter 1-1 after the official launch,” the devs said.
Destiny: Rising is also packing in a bunch of features longtime Destiny 2 fans have been asking Bungie to add for years. The game already has Sparrow Racing, a housing system, dual-wielding weapons, and more, all things that never made it into Destiny 2.
But even with these fan-favorite additions, there’s one big drawback already raising eyebrows: the gacha system. The game’s monetization model could end up being a dealbreaker for many core Destiny players.
Destiny: Rising’s official release is just around the corner, so it won’t be long before we see how all of this comes together in the final game.
