Destiny Rising Release Date Confirmed, New Trailer and Global Pre-Registration Now Live

NetEase has officially announced the release date for Destiny Rising, along with a brand-new trailer and updated Google Play sign-ups.

After months of build-up, Destiny Rising is finally locked in for a global release, and it’s sooner than you might expect. The mobile spin-off of Bungie’s legendary franchise will officially launch worldwide on August 28, 2025.

The Beta gave players a chance to try out early content like the Red Sea Rift zone, two new Lightbearers, and campaign missions involving familiar faces like Lord Saladin. Pre-registrations have been open on the iOS App Store for some time now. According to the official announcement, the game has already passed 4.7 million pre-registrations.

Now, NetEase has confirmed that Android users can join the party too. Google Play pre-registrations are officially open, and to top it all off, they’ve dropped a new trailer that showcases what’s next.

The news comes straight from NetEase via the official Destiny Rising Discord server and social channels, where the developer has been teasing this week’s update through a series of cryptic emoji clues. That all led up to today’s big reveal: Destiny Rising launches globally on August 28, with pre-registration now available on both the App Store and Google Play.

Alongside the release date, the dev team also released a brand-new trailer, featuring new gameplay footage. The video showcases some new and returning fan-favorite exotic weapons, including The Queenbreaker, Izanagi’s Burden, and more.

For those unfamiliar, Destiny Rising is the first official mobile title in the Destiny franchise. You’ll be able to switch between FPP and TPP views depending on your style, choose from a massive selection of weapons and gear, and build a team of characters who each bring something different to the fight. And yes, dual-wielding is in.

The official game description reads:

“First mobile game in the Destiny franchise is coming soon! Experience top-tier sci-fi shooting action in FPP or TPP. Play as unique characters with formidable skills and embark on a new adventure to defend future Earth!
