GameStop’s listing may have revealed the Hollow Knight: Silksong price ahead of launch.
Fans finally have a firm date for Hollow Knight: Silksong, and the hype’s been through the roof. Team Cherry confirmed the long-awaited sequel launches next week, on September 4, 2025, with day-one Xbox Game Pass access, marking the end of years of waiting for Hornet’s big adventure.
Even with the release date set, a few basic details haven’t been revealed by Team Cherry yet, most notably the price. That’s why today’s retailer listing matters: a product page on GameStop surfaced just now that appears to have revealed how much Silksong will cost.
Hollow Knight: Silksong Price Leaked
Earlier today, a new listing for Hollow Knight: Silksong (Nintendo Switch version) went live on the official GameStop website. According to the product description, it looks like Silksong will cost $19.99 USD. Yes, that’s a really good price. The page also mentions that it’s a Digital copy, with an E10+ ESRB rating, and a note that you can “Download and play on 09/04/2025.”
Update
A new report from a reliable leaker has revealed Hollow Knight: Silksong’s Steam regional prices just days before launch. Check it out here.
As always with retailer pages, take this with a grain of salt. Storefronts often use placeholders that get swapped once final info lands. Until Team Cherry confirms it directly, treat this as retailer-sourced rather than developer-confirmed.
So what’s official? Team Cherry’s announcement locks in Sep 4 and Game Pass day one, with the game coming to PC (Steam), macOS, Linux, Xbox One/Series, PS4/PS5, and Nintendo Switch. (plus Switch 2)
Gameplay-wise, Silksong will have plenty to chew on: the new kingdom of Pharloom, a quest system, craftable tools, and a ton of new enemy variety: 200+ enemies and 40+ bosses, plus a tougher Steel Soul mode and a new score from composer Christopher Larkin.
If you’re wondering why the road to release took so long, a new Bloomberg interview paints a clear picture: a tiny team taking their time, staying mostly off social media, and focusing on making the game they wanted.
As of right now, Team Cherry has not made any official announcement regarding Silksong’s price.
What do you think about the $19.99 price for Silksong if that ends up sticking? Fair, low, or too good to be true? Let us know in the comments below!
