Jasmium Crystal is a rare material needed to craft Duraluminum in Dune Awakening. Here’s how to find it, what gear you need, and how to mine it safely.
Dune Awakening is packed with a ton of different systems, like factions, and a wide range of resources that players need to progress. From basic things like water and Solari and Water, to more advanced materials like Erythrite Crystals, Cobalt Paste, and Aluminum Ingots, every item plays a role in helping you build, upgrade, or survive a little longer.
As you move into the later stages of the game, you’ll start unlocking higher-tier recipes and upgrades. That’s where Jasmium Crystal comes in. It’s one of the rarest and most important materials in the game once you reach Tier 5.
In this article, we’ll break down exactly how to find Jasmium Crystal, what gear you’ll need before heading out, and how to actually collect it without getting yourself killed.
Where to Find Jasmium Crystal in Dune Awakening
Jasmium Crystal isn’t something you’ll just stumble upon while exploring. You won’t find it in the northern parts of the map or near your early bases. It only spawns in a very specific area on the Hagga Basin map called Sheol, which is located in the bottom left corner. That region is highly radioactive and tucked away, which means you can’t just walk or drive there like most places.
To get there, you’ll need a working Ornithopter, it’s the only way to reach the zone where Jasmium Crystal is found. Regular vehicles won’t survive the terrain or distance. You’ll also need a Radiation Suit because the area has heavy radiation. If you don’t have protection, you’ll die shortly after landing.
You can unlock a basic Radiation Suit under the Research tab, then Combat, and in the Aluminum Products section. There are also upgraded versions that let you stay in radioactive areas longer.
Getting To Sheol and Farming Jasmium Crystal
Once your Ornithopter is fully fueled and upgraded with storage units, you’re ready to head to the bottom left corner of the Hagga Basin. Fuel efficiency matters, so be sure to use glide mode, also known as Vulture Mode, to save fuel.
Once you’re in the area, keep an eye out for small rocky outcroppings with pools of green-ish water or dark patches. These are the Jasmium Crystal spots. Carefully land your Ornithopter, step out, and scan the deposit using your Cutteray Mk5 or higher. Lower-tier tools won’t work here, so make sure you’ve upgraded it beforehand.
Similar to other resources, each scan kicks off a short minigame that’s a bit tougher due to the material’s rarity. If successful, you’ll pull about over 100 Jasmium Crystals per node, assuming you have upgraded gear.
Tip
Watch your radiation level closely. A small diamond-shaped red icon left to your skills bar shows how much exposure you’ve taken. When it hits 75%, it’s time to leave. Hitting 100% means instant death. Fly out to reset your exposure, then head back in for another run if needed.
In short, here’s how to get Jasmium Crystals:
- Travel to the bottom-left corner of Hagga Basin
- Use a fully equipped Ornithopter with storage units
- Make sure you have a Radiation Suit equipped (upgrade it for longer exposure)
- Use a Cutteray Mk5 or higher to mine the crystal nodes
- Land near small rocky islands with shallow pools
- Scan and mine the crystals, then auto-store them in your Ornithopter
- Leave the zone before radiation hits 75%, return when safe
How To Use Jasmium Crystals
Back at your base, combine Jasmium Crystals with Aluminum Ingots in a Medium Ore Refinery to make Duraluminum Ingots. You’ll need these for crafting late-game vehicles, weapons, and gear.
Farming Jasmium Crystal might seem tricky at first, but once you’ve got the right tools and a plan, it becomes a repeatable part of your late-game resource loop.
