Marvel Rivals Season 3 is almost here with two new heroes, a symbiote-themed map, and a massive patch full of hero buffs, nerfs, and ability changes.
Season 3 is officially landing in Marvel Rivals on July 11, and it’s bringing a ton of new content along with it. The new season, called The Abyss Awakens, sets the stage for a showdown between corrupted Hela and two new heroes joining the roster: Phoenix (Jean Grey) and Blade.
The map pool is also expanding with a brand-new symbiote-themed Klyntar map, and there’s a big focus on dark, symbiote-fueled cosmetics this time around. Earlier this week, NetEase gave us a teaser of what to expect with some of the balance changes, including updates to team-ups, hero reworks, and a few mid-season surprises.

The full list of changes comes straight from the official Marvel Rivals article, published earlier today. This update gives us a complete look at all the balance adjustments, ability tweaks, and new features rolling out with Season 3.

Emma Frost
- Telepathic Pulse damage at 99 energy changed from 120/s to 110/s, and at 100 energy from 150/s to 140/s
- Diamond Form damage reduction reduced from 30% to 25%
- Psionic Seduction (Ultimate) energy cost reduced from 3700 to 3400
The Thing
- New Ability – Battle Blitz: Leap to enemies within 20m, gain 25% damage reduction
- Stone Haymaker now knocks down flying enemies
Venom
- Cellular Corrosion slow effect increased from 15% to 25%
Human Torch
- Fire Cluster projectile damage reduced from 6 to 5.5
- Supernova (Ultimate):
- Shockwave damage reduced from 80 to 75
- Fire Tornado DoT reduced from 120/s to 110/s
- Gains 5% damage boost when used as a Team-Up Anchor
Iron Man
- Repulsor Blast:
- First two hits reduced from 40 to 35 and from 50 to 45 (during Armor Overdrive)
- Invincible Pulse Cannon (Ultimate) energy cost increased from 2800 to 3400
Mister Fantastic
- Inflated State bonus health reduced from 400 to 350
Namor
- Trident of Neptune damage increased from 70 to 75
- Trident projectile speed increased from 120m/s to 150m/s
- Wrath of the Seven Seas projectile speed increased from 120m/s to 150m/s
Scarlet Witch
- Reality Erasure (Ultimate):
- Max slow rate reduced from 35% to 25%
- Damage increased from 750 to 850
Spider-Man
- Get Over Here! kick damage increased from 50 to 55
- Midair damage (Spider-Power) increased from 50 to 55
- Amazing Combo damage increased from 55 to 60
- Loses Team-Up Anchor bonus from “ESU Alumnus”
- Gains new Team-Up with Human Torch: Inferno Blast
The Punisher
- Culling Turret damage reduced from 12 to 10
- Spell Field damage reduced from 12 to 10
- Final Judgement (Ultimate) energy cost increased from 3400 to 3700
Winter Soldier
- Roterstern damage falloff at 40m increased from 60% to 70%
Wolverine
- Feral Leap:
- Strike duration increased from 4s to 5s
- Cooldown increased from 12s to 15s
Invisible Woman
- Orb Projection:
- Launch healing increased from 40 to 45
- Return healing reduced from 40 to 35
- Launch damage increased from 20 to 25

- God of Mischief (Ultimate) energy cost increased from 4000 to 4300
Mantis
- Healing Flower now heals 2.5% per second
- Base healing reduced from 20/s to 12.5/s
- Soul Resurgence (Ultimate):
- Energy cost increased from 3700 to 4300
- Bonus max health increased from 100 to 150
Ultron
- Dynamic Flight acceleration time reduced from 8s to 6s
- Imperative: Firewall:
- Self bonus health reduced from 75 to 65
- Ally bonus health reduced from 55 to 50

- Removed entirely

- Storm loses Burning Hurricane

Stark Protocol now includes Squirrel Girl, who gains Squirrel Missile

Guardian Revival (Adam Warlock + Star-Lord/Mantis)
- Leader’s Soul and Nature’s Soul cooldown increased from 120s to 135s
Symbiote Shenanigans (Jeff + Venom)
- Guardian of the Deep bonus health increased from 50 to 100
- Tendril link duration increased from 3s to 5s
