Marvel Rivals Season 4 update is almost here with new heroes, updated team-ups, and a massive patch that rebalances a bunch of characters.
Marvel Rivals Season 4, officially titled Heart of the Dragon, is live starting September 12, 2025, and it brings some pretty major updates to the game. Along with the launch of the season, Angela and Daredevil are joining the roster as new playable heroes. Angela’s a Vanguard powerhouse, and Daredevil has fans hyped thanks to his surprise appearance in the trailer.
Just like previous updates, Season 4 also comes with a big round of balance changes, tweaking everything from hero stats and ability damage to cooldowns and team-up skills. A few fan favorites are getting hit with nerfs, while others are finally getting the buffs players have been asking for.

All the New Hero Buffs, Nerfs, and Team-Up Changes in Marvel Rivals Season 4
There’s a lot going on in this patch. For starters, Scarlet Witch’s Ultimate can now deal up to 9999 damage, while Magik has received a full damage overhaul. Thor gets a new team-up with Angela, Jeff the Land Shark now heals teammates, and Loki’s Ultimate got nerfed to make him a bit less frustrating.
Other big names like Moon Knight, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Peni Parker have also been adjusted. Whether it’s faster cooldowns or reduced survivability, the patch shakes up nearly every role, Vanguards, Duelists, and Strategists alike.

Heroes
Captain America
- Remove Team-Up Anchor bonus 5% Damage boost.
Doctor Strange
- Reduce Maelstrom of Madness cooldown from 8s to 6s.
- Reduce base health from 600 to 575.
Emma Frost
- Increase Diamond Form cooldown from 15s to 18s.
- Reduce Telepathic Pulse energy gained when hitting shields from 10/s to 5/s.
Peni Parker
- Spider-Drone New Effect: Now slows hit enemies by 8% for 2s, each hit stacks the effect and resets the slow period, stacking up to 40%.
- Reduce Spider-Drone release interval during Ultimate Ability from 0.7s to 0.5s.
Thor
- Increase Movement Speed during Ultimate Ability from 600 to 700.
- After Ultimate Ability lands, Stun surrounding enemies for 1s.
Black Panther
- Reduce Bonus Health gained when striking Vibranium Marked enemies with Spirit Rend from 30 to 25.
- Base health reduced from 300 to 275.
Blade
- Ancestral Sword damage increased from 22 to 24 per slash.
Magik
- Removed Team-Up Anchor bonus 15% damage boost.
- Magik Slash charge time reduced from 1.8s to 1.2s.
- Magik Slash now pierces enemies and reduces Stepping Discs cooldown by 1s per enemy.
- Soulsword damage increased from 65 to 75.
- Eldritch Whirl damage increased from 45 to 50.
- Demon’s Rage damage per hit increased from 18 to 20.
- Normal melee damage increased from 30 to 40.
- During Ultimate: Eldritch Whirl hit damage increased from 35 to 45, Umbral Incursion damage from 135 to 140.
Moon Knight
- Moon Blade now stores up to 2 charges (6s recharge each).
Psylocke
- Wing Shuriken retrieve damage reduced from 12 to 8.
Scarlet Witch
- Can now be healed during Mystic Projection.
- Reality Erasure damage increased from 800 to 9999.
- New effect: Pulls in enemies within 15m during charge-up (max speed 2.4m/s).
Squirrel Girl
- Burst Acorn damage reduced from 110 to 100.
- Squirrel Blockade damage increased from 35 to 50.
- Mammal Bond cooldown increased from 10s to 15s.
Winter Soldier
- Trooper’s Fist second hit now applies a 1s debuff that blocks mobility abilities.
Invisible Woman
- Guardian Shield slow effect increased from 30% to 35%.
- Invisible Boundary (Ultimate) healing increased from 165 to 180 per second.
- New effect: Slows enemies inside range by 20%.
Jeff the Land Shark
- It’s Jeff! (Ultimate) now leaves a Healing Pool (8m radius, 100 HP/s for 8s).
Loki
- Illusion damage/healing ratio reduced from 100% to 80%.
- God of Mischief Ultimate shapeshift duration reduced from 15s to 12s.
- Residual duration after using shapeshifted abilities reduced from 5s to 3s.
Luna Snow
- Fate of Both Worlds Ultimate duration reduced from 12s to 10s.
Mantis
- Movement boost from Nature’s Favor now fades over 2s after being hit (instead of instantly disappearing).
Ultron
- Ultimate now deals 125% bonus damage to Bonus Health targets.
Team-Up Abilities

New: Divine Armory (Angela + Thor)
- Angela (anchor) gains 100 HP.
- Thor gains Thunderstrike Pike ability.
Updated: Arcane Order (Doctor Strange + Scarlet Witch / Magik)
- Magik joins the team-up and unlocks Chains of Cyttorak.
- Scarlet Witch’s Sorcery Surge explosion damage reduced from 12 to 6.
Removed: Dimensional Shortcut (Magik + Psylocke)
- This team-up has been removed.
- Black Panther loses the Wakandan Master bonus previously tied to Magik.
Updated: Gamma Charge (Hulk + Namor / Black Panther)
- Black Panther gains Gamma Vibranium Armor through Hulk team-up.
