A new GTA 6 gameplay leak shows Jason playing basketball, new footage, and alleged map locations ahead of Rockstar’s August 27 showcase event.
Rockstar has already confirmed that GTA 6 will launch on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a new Extended Look scheduled for August 27. Until that presentation arrives, most of what we know about moment-to-moment play comes from trailers, official screenshots, and the infamous 2022 development leak.
That gap has now produced another possible look at the game. Earlier today, CYBERLEEK shared footage online that appears to show GTA 6 gameplay, along with separate images said to reveal previously unseen parts of the map. The clip seems to feature Jason moving around a residential area before picking up a basketball and taking a shot, while the map images appear to point to additional locations that Rockstar hasn’t shown publicly.
Update
Full GTA 6 map appears to have been leaked online. Take a look here.

Here’s what we know from the alleged GTA 6 gameplay “leak”.
GTA 6 Gameplay Leak Shows Jason Playing Basketball and New Map Locations
The alleged GTA 6 gameplay leak appears to show Jason walking around a residential property before interacting with a basketball. The footage includes on-screen prompts to “Aim” and “Throw.” If the clip is genuine, basketball would be another small open-world activity players can mess with outside missions.
The footage also reveals movement, idle animations, environmental interaction, and a HUD that hasn’t appeared in Rockstar’s public trailers.
Basketball itself isn’t exactly a bank robbery, but this is the sort of tiny systemic feature Rockstar likes stuffing into its open worlds. Red Dead Redemption 2 let players spend absurd amounts of time eating stew, cleaning guns, and bothering strangers, so a physical basketball interaction in GTA 6 wouldn’t feel out of place.

Update, August 18, 10:59 AM: It looks like the same source behind the first gameplay leak has posted another clip. This time, the footage appears to show Jason driving a vehicle and beating an NPC with a wrench, which quickly draws the attention of nearby police.
You can check out the new clip below.
Original story: A second leak posted shortly afterward claims to show portions of GTA 6’s map. The leaked images came from the same CYBERLEEK source as the gameplay footage, featuring the following areas:
- Dalton Island
- Gloriana Key
- Catalan Key
- Tesquesta Retreat

None of this material has been confirmed by a reputable insider, journalist, or Rockstar, so the gameplay, location names, and apparent map scale remain leaks rather than confirmed game details. Until the official confirmation, take all of these with a hefty grain of salt.
Apart from that, it’s officially confirmed that Rockstar will reveal an Extended Look of GTA 6 on August 27, just over a week before the studio enters the final stretch toward the November 19 release.
