New GTA 6 leaks are being hit with copyright takedowns after footage showed Jason, basketball gameplay, police reactions and a full Leonida map.
Rockstar appears to have started moving against the latest GTA 6 leaks after a fresh batch of gameplay clips and map images spread online earlier today. Multiple posts on X have been removed following DMCA copyright complaints.
The clips and images came from a source called CYBERLEEK, with the map leak explicitly tied to the same people behind the gameplay footage. Rockstar hasn’t publicly confirmed the material. Copyright action doesn’t prove that every image circulating online is genuine, but it gives this leak considerably more weight than the usual anonymous GTA 6 upload.
GTA 6 Leaks Hit With Copyright Takedowns After New Footage Spreads
One affected X user shared a notice stating that their account had been locked because the platform received a compliant Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Notice for posted content. Copies of the leak were also reported as becoming unavailable shortly after they spread online.
The public notice doesn’t identify Rockstar or Take-Two as the claimant, so this isn’t formal authentication from the publisher. Still, these kinds of takedowns are mostly genuine and come from the IP holder themselves, which in this case is Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive.
Update, August 18, 1:03 PM PST: In addition to the takedowns on X, it appears the Streamable videos have also been taken down, which pretty much confirms the legitimacy of these leaks.
Original story: The first leaked gameplay clip appears to show Jason around a residential property before picking up a basketball and taking a shot. On-screen crosshair shows aiming and throwing, with a basketball icon and scoring counter visible on the HUD. The footage also contains clipping and an unfinished-looking interface, potentially pointing to an older development build if it is genuine.
A second clip shared later by the same source appears to show Jason driving a vehicle and interacting with an NPC. That encounter seemingly alerts nearby police, offering another possible glimpse at NPC reactions and GTA 6’s wanted system.

Then there’s the map. CYBERLEEK’s alleged full Leonida map shows five counties: Lummox, Kelly, Leonard, Vice-Dale and Mariana. The image includes a large airport near Vice City, another offshore airfield, extensive wetlands, northern rural areas and a long southern island chain.
Separate close-ups label Dalton Island, Gloriana Key, Catalan Key, Catalan Bay and Tequesta Retreat. Dalton Island appears largely residential, while Gloriana Key contains industrial tanks, service roads and major highway connections. The original map post confirms those images came from the same source as the gameplay clip.

The leak lands just before Rockstar’s next official GTA 6 presentation. The studio currently lists an Extended Look for August 27, with GTA 6 scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
