A full Nintendo Switch 2 setup video has leaked, showing the real console, menus, and settings just days before launch.
The hype for Nintendo’s next big console, the Switch 2, is at an all-time high as fans count down the days to the official launch on June 5. Rumors and speculation have been going around for months, with everyone itching to get a real look at the retail unit. Now, with just days left until release, leaks are starting to appear online, giving people an early taste of what’s coming.
Just yesterday, the first unboxing video popped up, showing off the retail packaging and the updated Joy-Cons. But today, things have taken a big step forward. A full walkthrough video showing the entire setup process, main menu, and system settings has now leaked, giving us our most detailed look yet at the Nintendo Switch 2.

The new video comes from the Russian YouTube channel, which managed to get their hands on an early unit and walked viewers through the whole setup process. The person in the video goes step-by-step, starting with powering on the console, setting the language to English, and selecting the region. They show off the new, brighter display and note the improved quality and sturdiness of the redesigned Joy-Cons.
The walkthrough confirms some of the Switch 2’s most talked-about hardware features: a bigger screen, beefed-up internals, and a much more solid feel compared to the first Switch. There’s 232 GB of free storage available out of the box, and the new menu layout has been tweaked a bit from the original.
Some of the biggest settings upgrades include the ability to set 4K TV resolution, toggle HDR, enable 120Hz output, and switch on virtual 5.1 surround sound for headphones. There’s also a microphone test setting, system-wide button remapping, and the usual options for parental controls, brightness, and more.
Unfortunately, just like the first leak, almost everything is locked behind a required day-one update. That means no access to Nintendo eShop, Switch Online, Mii creation, Amiibo, or even launching games until the patch goes live on June 5.

The video, which probably won’t be online for long (Nintendo is famously quick to issue takedowns for leaks like this), still manages to give us a solid look at what to expect.
It’s also adding fuel to ongoing rumors that Nintendo will hold a big Direct presentation in early June, possibly right before launch, to properly show off the Switch 2.
