EA recently released the final content update for Star Wars Battlefront II “The Battle on Scarif,” released on April 29th. This means that there won’t be any new content updates for Battlefront II moving forward. Speaking of Battlefront, a new rumor has shown up which suggests that there won’t be a Star Wars Battlefront III from EA.
Bespin Bulletin, having a solid record for Star Wars-related leaks and news, stated on their Instagram page that EA is not looking forward to making a Star Wars Battlefront III.
“Right now there is no plans for a Battlefront III. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but here we are. Enjoy The Battle of Scarif update, share some kind messages to the team at DICE who worked ever so hard on Battlefront II, and maybe the force be with you.”

They also revealed that the next two Star Wars games from EA are – Project Maverick and a sequel to Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Star Wars: Project Maverick is a flight simulator that is rumored to be released in mid-2021 with Respawn’s Star Wars sequel releasing in 2022.
“EA’s next two Star Wars games are EA Motives’ combat flight simulator – Project Maverick releasing in 2021, in 2022 we will see the sequel to Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and in 2023 the deal between EA and Lucasfilm comes to an end.”
Furthermore, the majority of the teams at DICE currently working on Battlefront II content will be shifted to Battlefield 2021, according to Bespin Bulletin.
Star Wars: Battlefront II is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
