Bungie adopted the seasonal model in Destiny 2 with the release of Forsaken back in 2018. First, three seasons we’ve gotten were – Black Armor, Season of the Drifter, and Season of Opulence, which came with an exclusive seasonal activity (Forges, Menagerie, etc.). Right now, Season of Dawn is going strong in Destiny 2 with a month or so left. We already have some datamined files that suggest what season 10 will be all about.

A user on Reddit EriRi1138 has posted a thread in the Destiny subreddit which proposed a brand-new idea for seasons in Destiny 2 that is – Season of the City. Make sure you check out his thread on Reddit for a complete overview of what this is all about. Considering all the feedback and requests from the Destiny 2 community, Season of the City is exactly what the game needs.

As mentioned in the thread, Season of the City will have a new social space called “City” that features four unique spaces, Bazaar, Tavern, Library, and Weapons Range. Faction Rally finally returns with Season of the City. This time, it dives in more in-depth aspects of each faction i.e. New Monarchy, Dead Orbit, and Future War Cult.

Furthermore, it features additional content like Clan Hideout, Player Home, and a new activity called City Defense. As the majority of the community wants Faction Rally to return, along with SRL (Sparrow Racing League), it feels like this is a perfect idea to bring off these back with a single season. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!

Destiny was released on September 9, 2014, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Destiny 2 was released on September 4, 2017, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It was released later in 2019 on Google Stadia.
