Capcom has been slaying recently. With Resident Evil 3 Remake on the horizon, fans are really looking forward to how the franchise progresses in the coming generation of video games. Speaking of Resident Evil, the next installment in the franchise is in the works for 2021 according to the new rumor on Twitter.
This rumor comes from Ryan also known as AestheticGamer on Twitter, who shared a bit of information about Capcom’s next Resident Evil project that will be hitting consoles and PC sometime in 2021.
(1/3)Ah what the Hell, I'll tease a bit more about this 2021 RE game & then not talk deeper about it until a bit after RE3 is out. The 2021 RE game started development in late 2016, by the time it releases it'll have been in development for 4-4.5 years (been in dev at the moment

According to Ryan, this new RE game has been in development since late 2016. We’ll be getting an official announcement for this unannounced Resident Evil game very soon. Ryan also mentioned that the announcement will disappoint a lot of RE fans as this new game is “by far the biggest departure the series has ever taken.”
(3/3) to the point I expect a lot of people will be pissed off about it when it gets revealed, but they should be open minded. Internal testing and the like show it's high quality game, and I'm quite excited for it.
