Battlefield 3 was one of the top games in the franchise. Released in 2011 on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, Battlefield 3 quickly became one of the most favorite FPS games out there. Today, we have some reports that suggest Battlefield 3 Remastered is coming to next-gen platforms.

This report comes from a YouTuber “Daqarie” who leaked Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V details. According to the video, DICE has been working on BF3 Remastered for quite some time now. “Thankfully, we’re going back finally. And what a better way to kick it off than by announcing Battlefield 3 Remastered,” Dargarie said in his video.

“But get this, this has been in the pipeline for a very very long time. DICE realizes that at the height of Battlefield’s popularity, everybody was playing Battlefield 3.”

The video further suggests that BF3 Remastered will be a standalone title along with a new Battlefield game, presumably Battlefield 2021. “Battlefield 3 is going to be remastered alongside a new Battlefield game. Sort of similar to what Call of Duty did when it remastered [Call of Duty 4] Modern Warfare.”

Daqarie mentions that this remastered version of BF3 will launch with all of its DLCs including, Back to Karkand, Close Quarters, Armored Kill, Aftermath, and Endgame.

Battlefield 3 Remastered will be launching on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and of course on PC. Additionally, DICE plans on supporting the game by introducing more cosmetics, sort of similar to what Modern Warfare Remastered had.”

As always, there’s nothing officially confirmed about this. So, we suggest you take everything with a grain of salt. EA will host their EA Play Live on June 18th this summer. We’ll definitely be hearing about their plans for the future of the Battlefield franchise or maybe a BF3 Remastered announcement too. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!

In other news, EA has shifted the majority of the developers currently working on Star Wars Battlefront II to the next Battlefield title.

Battlefield V is now available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
