Bright Dust is one of many in-game currencies to purchase items in Destiny 2, and probably one of the most important ones too. Speaking of, Bungie has confirmed that players will get ways to earn free Bright Dust every week in Bungie’s 30th Anniversary celebration event in Destiny 2.
When asked whether the 30th Anniversary update will refresh the current Bright Dust seasonal challenges, Dylan Gafner, community manager at Bungie, confirmed on Destiny’s official subreddit that while the upcoming update will not refresh the current seasonal challenges, players will be able to earn Bright Dust currency each week.
“Seasonal Challenges will not be refreshed, but we will be providing a way to get some freebie bright dust each week. Stay tuned!”
Free Bright Dust During 30th Anniversary in Destiny 2
While Bungie did not specify the exact way players would earn the free Bright Dust, judging from the previous events, it’s possible that players would get weekly Bright Dust bounties and/or triumphs for the event. We’ll have more info on this when the update goes live next week.
Not to mention, Moments of Triumph 2021 launches with Bungie’s 30th Anniversary update too on December 7th. So, players will have plenty of triumphs to unlock for the next few weeks. You can check out the newly-revealed Ghost shell, Sparrow, and Emblem for the Moments of Triumph 2021 above.

Destiny 2’s mid-season content drop for Season of the Lost is just around the corner. With Bungie’s 30th Anniversary pack officially releasing next week, players will get to experience the classic Destiny exotic weapon, Gjallarhorn in Destiny 2, along with other legendary weapons, armor, and ornaments.
