How to Unlock the Mentat Class in Dune Awakening
Unlocking the Mentat class starts with finding the Mentat trainer out in the wilds of Arrakis. To get started, you’ll want to make your way to an area called Rift Watch. This spot is located on the right side of the Haga Basin, in a region known as the Haga Rift. Keep an eye out for a large, distinctive base; once you get close, it’ll stand out thanks to its unique look compared to other camps in the area.
When you arrive, look for an NPC named Samin Morro. He’s your go-to for becoming a Mentat. Talk to him, and you’ll get a special contract or quest that sets you on the path to unlocking Mentat abilities. The process is pretty straightforward: accept his challenge, complete the task, and you’ll earn your Mentat skill tree.
If you didn’t start as a Mentat at character creation, don’t worry, Samin Morro is always there for you to unlock the class whenever you’re ready. Just make sure you’ve made some progress in the story and reached Rift Watch, which usually happens after you’ve explored a few other zones.

Advanced Mentat Trainer Location

The NPC you’re looking for here is named Zayn De Witte. He’s usually found at the back of the bar, just keep walking straight through until you spot him. The game’s map will also help out, as the bar should be marked clearly when you’re in Arakeen.
Complete his requirements, and you’ll unlock advanced Mentat skills, giving you even more tactical options and gadgets to play with.
