45 minutes of MindsEye gameplay footage has leaked online just days before launch.

MindsEye, the highly anticipated debut game from Build A Rocket Boy, is set to release in just a few days on June 10. Created by a team led by Leslie Benzies, best known for his work on Grand Theft Auto, the game has been generating a lot of attention not just for its ambitious storytelling, but also because of some recent big changes behind the scenes.

Just this week, two key executives left the studio: Chief Legal Officer Riley Graebner and Chief Financial Officer Paul Bland. Both departures happened right before launch, and it’s got people wondering about what’s going on at the company.

Now, with only five days until MindsEye officially launches, it looks like the surprises keep coming, this time, with leaked gameplay footage making its way online.

45 Minutes of MindsEye Gameplay Hit YouTube

Earlier today, a YouTube channel called The Evil Plague Trophy Hunters uploaded a 45-minute video showing brand new gameplay from MindsEye. The footage appears to show a significant chunk of the game, giving viewers an early look at story elements, mechanics, and the overall feel of Build A Rocket Boy’s first big project.

If you haven’t been keeping up, MindsEye is more than just a single game. The studio has said this is the start of a long-term, multi-title narrative universe set in the world of Redrock. The developers are aiming for something cinematic and episodic, sort of like binge-watching your favorite TV series, with stories that will play out over several games in the future.

As for the leaked footage, the video gives a pretty thorough walkthrough of what appears to be the opening moments, showing off the game’s world, characters, and the kind of action you can expect when it launches. One thing that stands out right away is how sharp the cutscenes look; the visuals and presentation really seem polished.

Keep in mind, though, there’s a good chance this video won’t stay online for long. Since the game hasn’t officially launched yet, it’s likely that Build A Rocket Boy or its publisher will move quickly to have the footage taken down with a DMCA notice.

If you want to check it out for yourself, you can watch the leaked gameplay below. (while it’s still up)
