Dune Awakening is an online survival MMO that takes you right into the heart of Arrakis. From avoiding giant sandworms in the desert to building your base and managing your resources, there’s always something to do. The game is full of quests that help you grow stronger, learn new skills, and unlock rewards. Besides the main story missions, there are plenty of side quests you can take on, each offering its own challenges and rewards.
One of the side quests you’ll come across is about paying your taxes to the Emperor. In this article, we’ll guide you through everything you need to know about the Taxation side quest, how to start it, where to go, and how to pay your Imperial Solari Tax in the easiest way possible.
How to Start the Taxation Quest
The Taxation side quest can be found right in your in-game menu. Open the menu, head over to the Journey tab, and look under the Miscellaneous section. There, you’ll see the quest called “Taxation.”
Here’s what the official quest description says:
“The Emperor has decreed that all who make Arrakis their home must pay the Imperial Solari Tax or face the consequences. Imperial Tax Representatives, located in Arrakeen and Harko Village, can accept tax payments and provide details on the consequences of tax delinquency.”
Taxation Quest Steps:
- First, you’ll need to collect 6,500 Solaris, the main currency in Dune Awakening. Make sure these are in your backpack before you do anything else.
- Next, travel to either Harko Village or Arrakeen. You can visit whichever is easier for you.
- Once you arrive, look for the Imperial Tax Representative NPC. These are the characters who handle all the tax payments.
- When you talk to the NPC, you’ll get several dialogue options. Choose the one that says “I’d like to pay my taxes.“
- After you choose that, a new window will pop up showing your current tax status. If you have any unpaid invoices, you’ll see them here.
- To pay a specific invoice, select it and click the “Pay Invoice” button. If you want to clear everything at once, just click the “Pay Total” button at the bottom.
Where to Find the Tax NPCs in Dune Awakening
Finding the right NPC is easy if you know where to look. In Harko Village, the Imperial Tax Representative is located on the east side of the main settlement. In Arrakeen, you’ll find them in the northwestern part of the city’s hub. Look for the shield icon on your map; that’s where the tax NPC will be.

How to Pay Your Taxes in Dune Awakening
Paying your taxes is pretty straightforward once you know the steps. After collecting the required Solaris, just head to either Arrakeen or Harko Village, talk to the Imperial Tax Representative, and follow the in-game prompts. The menu will show all your outstanding invoices, making it easy to pick and choose which ones you want to pay or just settle everything in one go.
If you follow these steps, you’ll have the Taxation quest done in no time.
