Destiny 2 will be brought back online around 7 PM PST.
Update #2: It seems Bungie has identified the problem and now is working on the fix. More updates to come. Stay tuned.
We believe we have identified the cause of this issue and are working on a fix internally. Destiny 2 will continue to be offline until we have a better understanding of the timeline for this fix. We will provide another update by 12 PM Pacific.

Bungie just released a new update 2.7.1 in Destiny fixing a couple of bugs and exploits along with some performance updates. The update is now live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. The total size for this update is around 350MBs.
Destiny 2: Update 2.7.1 Issues
Right after the update went live; there were several reports that the new update has deleted some in-game content that includes Glimmer, Legendary Shards, and Enhancement Prisms. As you can see in the above image, I lost my glimmer as well. There were some reports about the deletion of weapons too. Bungie has commented on the issue on Twitter.
We’re currently investigating an issue where players may have lost their Glimmer and/or various infusion materials after Update 4.7.1 went live.
