A new report claims the next Nintendo Direct is happening later this month, following the launch of Donkey Kong Bonanza.

Over the last couple of weeks, there’s been a lot of talk online about a new Nintendo Direct presentation happening sometime this month. People have been tossing around dates, speculating what could be shown, and trying to guess when Nintendo will finally break their silence. But so far, there’s been no official announcement from Nintendo. Just lots of whispers, predictions, and people crossing their fingers.

Now, we finally have something a little more solid. A well-known insider has come forward saying that, yes, there is a Nintendo Direct planned for later this month. And while we still don’t know exactly when, this is the clearest info we’ve heard so far.

New Details On Nintendo Direct July 2025 Presentation

The new report comes from Nate the Hate, a trusted voice when it comes to Nintendo news. On a recent podcast episode, Nate said he’s been told by his sources that a Nintendo Direct is scheduled to take place in July, but not until after Donkey Kong Bonanza launches on July 17.

This lines up with a previous rumor, which suggested that there’s a new Direct presentation happening this month. It also makes sense timing-wise, since Nintendo’s quarterly earnings report lands on August 1. A Direct right before that could help build momentum and set the tone for what’s next.

“From what I have been told, there is a Direct this month, so the month of July, but that Direct will not take place until after Donkey Kong Bonanza releases,” he said. “Beyond that, I have no additional information. I do not have information as to the exact timing at this point.”

So while we don’t know the exact date yet, a safe guess would be sometime between July 18 and the end of the month. Possibly the week of July 28, just before that earnings report hits.

Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed, so it’s worth keeping in mind that plans can change. Until Nintendo makes the announcement itself, it’s smart to treat all of this as informed speculation.

It’s also worth noting that this isn’t the only interesting report floating around. Just recently, there have been rumors that some PlayStation exclusives could be headed to the Switch 2, which would be a major move if true. All signs point to Nintendo preparing to roll out some big news soon, and this upcoming Direct might be the moment they finally open the floodgates.
