Destiny 2: Renegades is bringing a ton of new weapons. Here’s every new weapon so far, and the Star Wars inspiration behind each one.
Destiny 2‘s next big expansion, Renegades, is right around the corner, set to launch on December 2, 2025. It’s the second major release in the Year of Prophecy, and this time, the vibe is pure sci-fi western meets outlaw fantasy. This Star Wars-themed expansion adds a brand-new activity called Lawless Frontier, a social hub known as Tharsis Outpost, and the new Orders system, which finally replaces daily bounties.
Earlier this week, Bungie dropped a new trailer showing off some of the new weapons and gear coming in Renegades, and it didn’t take long for players to spot the very clear Star Wars inspirations sprinkled throughout.

And since Renegades is officially licensed by Lucasfilm, it makes sense that Bungie is leaning into the galaxy-far-far-away feel. So in this article, we’re breaking down every new weapon currently revealed for Renegades, and what part of Star Wars it draws from.
How Many New Rengades Weapons Have Been Revealed?
So far, we’ve seen six Legendary weapons and two Exotic weapons in the Renegades trailers. While there are surely more to come at launch, these are the ones confirmed, and Star Wars fans will recognize most of them instantly.
Let’s take a closer look. (thanks, BC1207)
