Bioware Is Looking To Revive One Of Its ‘Prestigious Franchises,’ Job Listing Suggests

A new job listing went live earlier this month at Bioware that suggests a comeback of one of Bioware’s most reputed franchises. The job position offered in this listing is Technical Director at Bioware, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Here’s what the job listing says:

“You will be the most senior engineering lead on the next major title in one of BioWare’s most prestigious franchises, and a contributing leader to BioWare studio strategy. You will partner with the other disciplines to build the technology and the programming team to deliver amazing player experiences.“

Well, the ‘prestigious franchise’ here strongly hints at the revival of the Mass Effect franchise. Earlier this year, Bioware put out a series of tweets featuring the original Mass Effect games that might be a hint for the return of Remastered Mass Effect Trilogy.

While the remastered trilogy is indeed speculation out of thin air, the job listing, on the other hand, suggests that this might actually be true. Maybe we’ll get the remastered trilogy bundled with the new title?

The last major release in the Mass Effect franchise was – Mass Effect: Andromeda, which overall was an OK game. But if we compare it to the trilogy, Andromeda indeed lacked in dialogues along with some other aspects.

Bioware recently announced that they are working on the complete overhaul of Anthem calling it – Anthem 2.0. Until then, Anthem won’t be receiving any new updates from the studio. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!

Mass Effect: Andromeda is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
