The Bungie Store officially closed yesterday, with a farewell to fans. Bungie has confirmed a new merchandise store with PlayStation.

The Bungie Store has officially closed its doors after more than a decade of selling Destiny and Bungie merchandise, with the company leaving behind a final farewell message for fans. The storefront stopped accepting new orders on October 19, 2026, although Bungie has assured customers that outstanding purchases will still be shipped.

The closure was first announced on October 2, when Bungie explained that it was retiring its existing storefront and working on a replacement. The announcement also brought some welcome news from Bungie’s Head of Product, Josh Deane, who revealed that PlayStation would be involved in the new merchandise store.

Bungie Store Is Officially Closed, but a New PlayStation Partnership Is Already Confirmed

Visiting the Bungie Store now brings up a page titled “BUNGIE STORE IS CLOSED,” confirming that customers can no longer make purchases through the original website. Existing orders and preorders will continue to be processed, with tracking information sent by email once items ship. Customer support also remains available at [email protected] for anyone who needs help with an outstanding order.

Here’s the full statement shown on the Bungie Store goodbye page:

“The Bungie Store is officially closed as of October 19, 2026. While new purchases are no longer available, orders awaiting fulfillment will continue to be processed and shipped.

“Tracking information will be emailed as it becomes available, and we’ll continue to keep you updated throughout the process. If you have an existing order, our Customer Service team will remain available to assist with any questions or concerns. Please contact us at [email protected] for assistance. Marathon merchandise and Rewards will still be available for purchase on marathon.bungiestore.com”

Bungie ended the announcement with a short message thanking everyone who supported the store over the years.

“Most importantly, we want to say thank you. It has been our pleasure to serve you, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support and for being part of the Bungie community.”

The message signs off with the familiar Destiny phrase, “See you Starside.”

There’s an important exception to the closure. Bungie’s separate Marathon merchandise storefront remains operational, with Marathon merchandise and Bungie Rewards still available for purchase.

The more interesting news, though, came from Josh Deane’s October 2 post on X. Responding to the original closure announcement, he confirmed:

“We’re building a new home for our Bungie merch in partnership with our friends at PlayStation :)”

So Bungie and Destiny merchandise isn’t disappearing permanently. Bungie’s earlier announcement said more information about where to purchase its merchandise would arrive in 2027, although the company hasn’t revealed a launch date, website address, or details about how the PlayStation partnership will work.

For customers who purchased digital soundtracks or emblem codes through the original store, Bungie’s FAQ specifies that downloads will remain accessible through December 31, 2026.
