Bungie’s ‘Gummy Bears’ Reportedly Releasing on PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch This Year

This news comes from Vandal, a Spanish publication that reports Bungie’s competitive PvP MOBA-inspired game will be showcased during today’s State of Play event. The report suggests that the game is set to release on PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch later this year.

Vandal’s report reads, “This new title will be revealed today during the State of Play event, which Sony scheduled for February 12 at 11:00 PM (Spanish time). These sources previously informed us about the date of the event and that Gummy Bears would be one of the games shown. Now that the event has been confirmed, the credibility of this leak is strengthened.”

Additionally, the report suggests Gummy Bears may also appear in an upcoming Nintendo Direct. “Gummy Bears will not only appear at today’s State of Play (February 12) but will also be featured in the rumored Nintendo Direct expected to take place this month,” the report reads. “This suggests that Sony plans to release this colorful multiplayer game on Switch as well.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Gummy Bears. The Game Post has published multiple reports on this project since 2023. The game is a MOBA-fighter hybrid with a unique art style and mechanics inspired by Super Smash Bros.

Instead of traditional health bars, it features a percentage-based damage system where players take more knockback the higher their damage gets. Bungie has previously hinted at this project, describing it as “one of our favorite incubation projects… a team-based action game inspired by several genres in a brand-new, science-fantasy universe.”
