Bungie‘s 30th Anniversary event is just 3 days away, releasing on December 7th. With that, players get to experience a new six-player activity called Dares of Eternity, that’s free for everyone, whether you own the pack or not. Along with that, the 30th Anniversary pack will also feature a brand-new dungeon in Destiny 2 for players who have purchased the pack.
The new dungeon called Grasp of Avarice, and a returning exotic rocket launcher, Gjallarhorn. Speaking of the dungeon, players were concerned about the release date. However, Bungie has confirmed that the new will release the same day as Bungie’s 30th Anniversary pack which is December 7, 2021.
When will Bungie’s 30th Anniversary Dungeon Release in Destiny 2?
Lead Community Manager at Bungie, Chris Shannon confirmed this on Reddit. “Dungeon will launch along with 30th on 12/7,” Shannon said. This means that players will be able to hop in the brand-new dungeon right after the update goes live at Tuesdays’ weekly reset. Here’s the description of the new dungeon from the store listing:
“Plunder the new three-player dungeon inspired by famed Cosmodrome loot caves of yore. Reveal a tale of riches and regret as you follow an adventurer who traded his humanity for treasure.”
Earlier this week, Bungie updated the store pages for the 30th Anniversary Pack on every platform (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, etc) with new images, and details. One of the new images featured a Covenant-themed weapon from the Halo franchise, which at first, players thought was the Type-52 Focus rifle.
However, after digging a bit further, a Reddit user found out that it seems to be an exotic ornament for Prometheus Lens exotic trace rifle. We will get official confirmation for this three days from now.
