The first look at Destiny 2’s upcoming Desert Perpetual raid loot appears to have been leaked ahead of launch, revealing new Exotic and Legendary weapons, armor sets, and more.

We’re just days away from Destiny 2’s newest raid, The Desert Perpetual. The raid officially launches this Saturday, July 19, at 10 AM PT, kicking off with a 48-hour Contest Mode where teams will battle it out for the prestigious World First title. Like always, power will be capped during the race, and the pressure will be on.

Just like previous raids, The Desert Perpetual will feature a brand-new exotic weapon, a new set of legendary weapons, armor sets for each class, a new seal and title, and some other cosmetic items.

Speaking of raid loot, we have already gotten an early peek at the loot waiting inside. Thanks to some digging through the expansion’s files, dataminers have found details on the new potential The Desert Perpetual raid Exotic weapon, Legendary guns, armor sets, seal title, and more.

Destiny 2 Desert Perpetual Raid Loot Leaked Early

The new raid loot info comes from known Destiny leaker harryy2533 on X, who shared screenshots and item names datamined on the launch day of the Edge of Fate expansion. While Bungie hasn’t officially revealed any of this gear yet, the data lines up with what you’d expect from a full raid loot pool: themed weapons, armor, and a new Exotic.

The splash image description reads: “Kepler’s deepest secret is at risk. Assemble your fireteam, explore the Anomaly’s heart, and avert the growing threat to the Sol.”

Destiny 2 Desert Perpetual Exotic Weapon

According to the leak, the Exotic reward from the Desert Perpetual raid is likely a Strand Heavy Rocket Launcher. No confirmed name or perk details yet, but it’s expected to be a damage-heavy weapon with Strand-based synergy.

You can check out the preview of the weapon, along with the new Eververse ornament, below.

Destiny 2 Desert Perpetual Legendary Weapons

The Desert Perpetual raid will also feature a full set of six new Legendary weapons. These include an auto rifle, fusion rifle, rocket launcher, sniper rifle, and submachine gun. One interesting note: one of the weapons is a crossbow-style Arc bow, a first of its kind.

Here’s what’s been found so far:

  • Intercalary: Stasis Auto Rifle
  • Opaque Hourglass: Arc Combat Bow (crossbow)
  • Finite Maybe: Solar Fusion Rifle
  • The When And Where: Stasis Rocket Launcher
  • Lance Ephemeral: Strand Sniper Rifle
  • Antedate: Arc Submachine Gun

Destiny 2 Desert Perpetual Armor Sets

Each class (Titan, Hunter, Warlock) is getting its own Desert Perpetual raid-exclusive armor set. Based on the leaked images, the armor features a sleek white and gold design with layered plating and high-tech detailing. It’s definitely themed around the Vex and stands out from the usual seasonal armor.

In addition to all the new weapons and armor, there are also some collectibles. The Desert Perpetual raid title is called Atemporal, which players can earn by completing a set of raid-specific triumphs.

There are also mentions of two new emblems: Third Unknown and Timeline’s Blade. You can get the Third Unknown emblem by completing the raid on any difficulty (normal completion). The Timeline’s Blade is only available during the Contest Mode, which requires you to complete all encounters of the Desert Perpetual raid during the first 48 hours. And while it’s not confirmed yet, it wouldn’t be surprising if there’s an exotic sparrow, ship, or Ghost shell as part of the loot pool.

Destiny 2 Desert Perpetual: Bungie Rewards Items

If you’re planning to jump into the raid, there’s also some real-world loot up for grabs. Just like previous raid and dungeon releases, The Desert Perpetual will also have some Bungie Rewards goodies, giving players the chance to unlock exclusive merch through the Bungie Store.

According to the datamine, three reward items are tied to this raid: a custom raid jacket, a collector’s pin, and a themed raid bag. These kinds of items are usually only available for a limited time and require you to complete the raid or finish certain triumphs before a set deadline.

Here’s what’s expected:

  • The Desert Perpetual Raid Jacket
  • Collectible Raid Pin
  • Themed Raid Bag

To unlock purchase access, you’ll need to complete the objectives tied to the above items. Once you’ve met the requirements, you’ll be able to order the items straight from the store.

From Bungie’s This Week in Destiny blog post:

  • The Desert Perpetual jacket and bag are available to players who complete it before August 29 at 9:59AM PT and have purchase them before October 7, 9:59 AM PT.
  • Those of you interested in the The Desert Perpetual raid pin have until December 2, 9:59 AM to unlock the reward and until January 6, 2026, at 11:59 PM to complete the purchase.

As always, keep in mind that none of this is confirmed by Bungie yet. Things could change before launch, or some of these items may be incorrect. So, we suggest you take everything with a grain of salt.

Speaking of new loot, if you’re looking to pick up the Graviton Spike Exotic hand cannon, we’ve got a full guide on how to unlock it, which you can check out here.
