What are Exotic Class Items in Destiny 2?

First, let’s delve into what exotic class items are in Destiny 2. These are unique pieces of exotic armor designed specifically for your class item slot. Each class in Destiny 2 – Titan, Hunter, and Warlock – has its own exclusive exotic class item.

This means a Titan’s exotic class item cannot be used by a Hunter or Warlock, and similarly, a Hunter’s exotic class item is not compatible with Titans or Warlocks.

These new exotic class items feature two exotic perks borrowed from other exotic armor pieces. This design enhances the build crafting capabilities, particularly when paired with the new Prismatic subclass.

By incorporating these dual perks, players can create more versatile and powerful builds, allowing for greater customization and strategic depth in both combat and support roles. For those unfamiliar, the Prismatic subclass allows players to combine the abilities of both the Light and Darkness subclasses.

As for the difficulity and modifiers, Dual Destiny exotic mission has a 1995 power cap with three different activity modifiers.

  • Subclass Requirement: A fireteam member needs to be equipped with a Light subclass. The other fireteam member needs to be equipped with a Darkness subclass. The Prismatic subclass fulfills either requirement.
  • Subclass Locked: You till not be able to change your equipped subclass during this mission.
  • Mission is Timed: When the timer reaches zero, the fireteam will be returned to orbit.

Keep in mind that this is a two-player mission. Now, let’s talk about how to start the Dual Destiny exotic mission in Destiny 2.

How to start the Dual Destiny Exotic Mission in Destiny 2?

you need to complete three full runs of the Overthrow activity in the Pale Heart destination. Each run must be completed in a different location: The Landing, The Blooming, and The Impasse. After you defeat the final boss in each Overthrow activity, look for a text prompt at the bottom left of your screen, above your Super bar. It will say, “A Secret-Keeper of the Witch Queen is near…”

When you see this notification, it signals the start of a five-minute timer. During this period, a group of Taken enemies will spawn somewhere in the area, and you need to defeat them before the timer expires and the next Overthrow begins.

These enemies appear in the same places where the Overthrow encounters spawn. One quick way to find the enemies is, look for a big Taken bubble, that’s where the Secret-Keeper wizard will be.

Once you have defeated all three Secret-Keepers in each of the three locations, a green-ish golden beam of glowing light will appear in The Refraction region, connecting The Blooming and The Landing. Head to this area, where you will see two objective markers.
