Update 2.7.1 was released yesterday in Destiny 2. The update somehow deleted players’ inventory items including Glimmer, Silver, Legendary Shards, Enhancement Prisms, etc. Luckily, Bungie has fixed the issue causing this bug and now everything is back to normal. Speaking of the Update 2.7.1, there were many changes made in the game including Hard Light screen shake.

Destiny 2: Hard Light – New PvP Auto Rifle Meta?

We all know how bad Hard Light screen shake was, specifically on consoles. The main problem was not with the weapon itself, but with the screen shake as there was a high warning that it could cause a seizure. Patch notes for update 2.7.1 include “Adjusted scope feedback and camera shake on Hard Light firing.”

The best thing about this exotic auto rifle is that it doesn’t have any damage falloff. Meaning the damage for this weapon won’t decrease as you move farther away from your enemies. The exotic perk “Volatile Light” states “Rounds fired from this weapon have no damage falloff, over-penetrate targets, and ricochet off hard surfaces. Projectile damage increases after the bounce.”

Now that Hard Light has been patched, it could become the new PvP meta considering there’s no damage falloff with this weapon. You can acquire the exotic catalyst for this weapon by completing normal Strikes or Nightfall Strikes. The catalyst gives it a whopping 25+ boost to stability. You can watch the video from Aztecross showcasing Hard Light after the patch.

Have you tried Hard Light after yesterday’s patch? What are your thoughts on this exotic? Let us know in the comments!
