Destiny 2 Salvation’s Edge World First Raid Cleared After 19 Hours, Winners Crowned

The developer has officially confirmed the world’s first winners for The Final Shape’s Salvation’s Edge raid in Destiny 2.

In an exhilarating race against time, Team Parabellum have secured the World First title for the newly released raid, Salvation’s Edge, in Destiny 2’s latest expansion, The Final Shape.

Released on June 7, 2024, at 10 AM PT, the raid challenged players worldwide to dive into its intricate mechanics and intense battle against The Witness, the main antagonist in Destiny’s decade-long Light and Darkness saga.

After 18 hours and 57 minutes of relentless combat and strategic coordination, Team Parabellum emerged victorious. Bungie, the developers behind Destiny 2, officially confirmed their achievement via a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Guardians make their own fate. Congratulations to team Parabellum on the world’s first clear of Salvation’s Edge!”

As for the second team to finish the whole entire raid was Team ATP. They completed the raid 23 hours and 55 minutes after its launch.

Salvation’s Edge has been eagerly anticipated by the Destiny 2 community, not just for the new weapons and armor but also because it’s the raid where players get to fight The Witness itself. The Contest mode, active during the first 48 hours of the raid’s release, ensures that all teams face a level playing field, significantly increasing the difficulty by capping players’ power levels.

Similar to the previous world’s first raid races, Team Parabellum will receive the new raid belt for the Salvation’s Edge raid. Here’s how it looks:

As for the second completion during the Contest mode, another team successfully completed the entire raid 25 hours after its launch, according to Raid.report. The team comprised the following players:
