Destiny 2 Has A Ton Of Content That No One Plays Anymore

Bungie: Destiny 2

Back in Destiny 1, we didn’t have as much content as we have now in Destiny 2. There were content drought periods (spring) where there wasn’t any new content in the game to root for. But now, we have a ton of activities, modes, quests, raids, and even exotics, for us to enjoy. But sadly, the majority of this, most of us don’t even play anymore.

Destiny 2: Let’s talk about Raids

I remember when Leviathan was first launched with Vanilla Destiny 2. While there were many complaints about it not having enough boss encounters and had only “challenges,” the raid itself was very fun and enjoyable. Moving on, Bungie added two raid lairs – Eater of Worlds and Spire of Stars in Year 1 which offered some sweet rewards and exotic catalysts. But we have to admit, those raids are now a ghost town for Destiny 2 veterans. New Light players may still be playing the raids.

Bungie: Destiny

Last Wish was added with Forsaken expansion in Destiny 2 which has been one of the best raids in Destiny to this date. The Dreaming City and the overall feel were phenomenal. Not to mention, the Vault puzzle was really so challenging.

While there’s not much they can do with Vanilla raids, Bungie can add new armor pieces or weapon variants just like they did in Rise of Iron’s Age of Triumph update. Just look at the trailer below and see for yourself.

Destiny 2: Strikes

Now we all know how much fun strikes were in Destiny 1. We had strike-specific rewards that were worth grinding for. And just for the record, I’m talking about the Vanguard strikes here and not Nightfall strikes. There is literally no incentive to play this category in PvE right now other than if a quest requires you to run a couple of strikes.

Bungie really needs to implement Strike-specific rewards in Destiny 2. A Destiny 2 player designed a complete list of strike-specific rewards himself which is a really amazing thing.

Another thing Bungie can do with Heroic Strikes is that they can offer weapon catalysts for exotic weapons. We already have catalysts for some exotic weapons – but not all of them. And it’s been a while since we’ve received any new catalysts in the game.

Destiny was released on September 9, 2014, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Destiny 2 was released on September 4, 2017, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It was released later in 2019 on Google Stadia.
