Grand Theft Auto VI Is ‘Halfway Done,’ Rumor Suggests

Yesterday, a new report from Kotaku revealed that the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, which is probably Grand Theft Auto VI, is indeed in early development from Rockstar Games. It’s been almost seven years since the release of GTA V and we’re still getting updates for GTA Online to this day.

This report comes from a Twitter user Tez2. According to his sources, Grand Theft Auto VI is already “halfway done or even beyond.” Considering the development for Red Dead Redemption 2 started right after the release of RDR1, things might actually be the same for GTA VI as this new rumor suggests.

Next title, a new GTA title is in "early stages of development"?
It's hard to believe that when I'm hearing it's "halfway done" or even beyond that.

Last month, there were a lot of rumors and leaks for the next GTA title in the franchise which all came out to be false. But this one might actually break the egg. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!

Speaking of GTA VI, Mexican Voice Actor Jorge Consejo, who added GTA VI as one of his projects in his CV, tweeted regarding all of the rumors last month, saying, “because of contract stipulations sometimes I’m unable to comment on certain projects.”

As for GTA V, we’re getting constant updates for the online mode. Earlier this month, Rockstar Games announced that anyone who plays GTA V this month (April) will be awarded a one-time $500,000 in-game. So, if you’re thinking of playing GTA V, this might be the right time to play.

GTA V is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
