UPDATE: Bungie has updated the job listing and changed the title from “Business Operations Manager – Destiny Expanded Universe” to “Business Operations Manager – Destiny Universe.”

Original Story: Looks like Bungie has started hiring to expand its Destiny IP in the new ‘Destiny Expanded Universe.’

Bungie has published a new job listing earlier today for Business Operations Manager “to help drive the future expansion of Destiny Universe.”

“We are searching for an exceptional project manager who will run the Destiny Universe leadership team’s rituals and strategy processes.”

“This includes guiding the creation and maintenance of the Destiny Universe roadmap, coordinating the timing of releases, and aligning all go-to-market experience and consumer product rollouts in the Destiny portfolio.”

This seems to be the first time Bungie has used the term ‘Destiny Expanded Universe’ since it announced the expansion of Destiny IP into new media, earlier this year.

“Bungie [has] appointed Mark Noseworthy (Vice President, Destiny Universe) and Luke Smith (Executive Creative Director, Destiny Universe) to oversee and prepare for the expansion of the Destiny Universe into additional media,” revealed in a press release.

Last month, Bungie posted another job listing to “extend the Destiny franchise into new categories including TV, films, books, comics, and audio formats.”

The company has also confirmed that Destiny 2’s first Light and Darkness saga will come to a close with The Final Shape expansion scheduled for release in 2024, after Lightfall. We know that The Witch Queen expansion is codenamed “Nova” and according to a now-updated job listing, it seems like Lightfall expansion is codenamed “Nebula.”

Apart from the Destiny IP, Bungie also has a new competitive game in development that could feature hero-shooter elements.
