Savathun’s Spire is the new seasonal activity added in Season of the Witch. Similar to other seasonal activities in the past, this new activity also offers new secrets for players to uncover, including hidden chests.
In this guide, we have compiled a list of all the hidden chests you can find in Savathun’s Spire activity and how you can unlock them.

Destiny 2 Savathun’s Spire – Hidden Chest #1
The first secret chest is located after the opening encounter. Keep moving upward in the Ascend the Spire section until you enter the area with three moving obstacles with a gap in the middle. Jump across and enter the next area.
After entering the next area, you need to activate three glowing Hive runes to unlock the chest. The first rune is right as you enter the room, on the far left statue. Shoot the rune with the corresponding weapon to activate it; purple for Void, orange for Solar, and blue for Arc.
Make your way forward and jump on the big circular platform in the middle. Look below to your left and you’ll see the second rune right next to the giant gate.
The third rune is right at the top of the blocked door that holds the secret chest. Shoot all three to and the green-ish locked door will unlock and the first hidden chest will spawn in the room. Looting this chest will unlock the Secrets of the Spire I triumph.
Destiny 2 Savathun’s Spire – Hidden Chest #2
The second hidden chest is located in the Traverse the Labyrinth section before the final encounter. Make your way forward until you come across these four circular platforms with four Hive portals in front.
If you look closely, you will notice a Hive rune below every platform. Shoot these runes with either Void, Solar, or Arc weapons to activate them, similar to the first chest.
After activating all four runes, jump in one of the portals and make your way to the next area, where you will find the hidden chest spawn to the right. Looting this chest will unlock the Secrets of the Spire II triumph.
Destiny 2 Savathun’s Spire – Hidden Chest #3
The third hidden chest is located in the same area as the first one. After completing the opening encounter, ascent using the hive lifts until you reach the area with three moving Hive obstacles.
This time, instead of jumping forward, look to your right and you will find a door entrance. The third hidden chest will be waiting for you at the end of the room. Looting this chest will unlock the Secrets of the Spire III triumph.
Destiny 2 Savathun’s Spire – Hidden Chest #4
This chest can be found in the Traverse the Labyrinth jumping section as well. Jump across the two platforms with the spikey Hive obstacles and make your way forward into the Hive portals.
When you enter the portal, turn around and you’ll see a path leading down with an elevator at the bottom. Jump down and go to the right where you’ll find a Deepsight node. Activate it to reveal hidden platforms.
Jump on the platforms and you’ll discover the fourth hidden chest located near the Hive portal. Looting this chest will unlock the Secrets of the Spire IV triumph.
Destiny 2 Savathun’s Spire – Hidden Chest #5
The fifth hidden chest is located in the Ascend the Spire section (after the opening encounter), where there’s a small jumping puzzle with a Solar Elemental card to the right. Similar to the first two hidden chests, you need to activate four Hive Runes with weapons, depending on what elements they are glowing with.
As you step into the spire, hop onto the central platform, turn around, and glance downwards. You’ll spot two Arc Hive Runes – use an Arc weapon (shoot) to activate them. Afterward, advance along the same platform to locate two Solar Hive Runes – activate them with a Solar weapon.
Looting this chest will unlock the Secrets of the Spire V triumph.
Destiny 2 Savathun’s Spire – Hidden Chest #6
The sixth hidden chest is located in the Traverse the Labyrinth section with a big jumping puzzle. After entering the area, jump into one of the four Hive portals that will take you to where the fourth hidden chest is located.
To unlock the hidden chest, activate four elemental Hive Runes. Each Rune appears after shooting the previous one, unlike the fifth chest.
Jump in one of the Hive portals which will lead you to where you would normally find the fourth chest. Turn around and look down the hole, and you’ll see the first Void Hive Rune, shoot it with a Void weapon and the second Arc Hive Rune will become visible right below it. Activate it as well.
After activating the Arc Rune, jump across to where you take the elevator. The last two runes (Arc and Void) are located below the elevator. Activate both of these and the sixth hidden chest will spawn right in front at the bottom. Looting this chest will unlock the Secrets of the Spire VI triumph.
How many Hidden Chests are in Savathun’s Spire?
We can confirm that there are a total of six hidden chests in Savathun’s Spire activity, based on the secret triumphs. Unlocking all four chests will also unlock another triumph called Uncovered Truths which requires you to find all four weekly hidden chests in Savathun’s Spire.
