Bungie is working on adding 12-player activities in Destiny 2, it has been claimed.

That’s according to the Discord user Liz, who has a history of sharing credible inside information on Destiny 2 and Bungie.

According to Liz, Destiny 2 will finally introduce 12-player activities. “12 player activities coming in the future,” they said in the D2 Leaks Discord server.

While it was claimed that the Destiny developer is working on 12-player activities for the game, no concrete timeline has been given for when players can expect these activities to be available in the game or what the activities might be.

It’s worth noting that this is not the first time 12-player activities have been discussed in Destiny 2. As a matter of fact, a bug surfaced in 2021 that permitted players to create 12-player Fireteams in activities such as raids, dungeons, and Nightfalls.

Bungie, being considerate, did not rush to fix the bug and allowed players to enjoy it and players have since been requesting the developer to add 12-player activities in the game.

Additionally, Liz has also claimed that Episode 2, titled “Revenant”, will add an Exotic Pulse Rifle in Destiny 2. Recently, a former PlayStation Studios artist uploaded some unreleased concept art of weapons online, which has created a buzz in the Destiny community.

The concept art showcases three unique weapon models, none of which have been seen before in the game. While two of these models appear to be ornaments for existing weapons, the third and most exciting one seems to be a brand-new Exotic Pulse rifle. This has got gamers eagerly speculating about how the new weapon may impact gameplay and whether it could potentially change the meta of the game.

Although the source of this information is known for being credible, it is important to note that it is still just a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Destiny 2 The Final Shape is set to launch on June 4, 2024, with a free two-month content update “Into the Light” launching something in April.
