A new datamine leak may have just revealed the release date and Phantom Edition for Battlefield 6, plus details on the upcoming open beta.

After months of waiting, EA is almost ready to show off Battlefield 6. The publisher has confirmed the reveal trailer is dropping on July 24, 2025, and fans can look forward to a three-day event with developer interviews and a first look at actual gameplay.

Of course, with all this hype, one question has been on everyone’s mind: When can we actually play Battlefield 6? While EA hasn’t given an official release date just yet, a brand-new leak is giving fans a pretty good idea of what to expect, and it sounds like we might not be waiting much longer.

Battlefield 6 Release Date Leak

The latest info comes from the well-known Telegram channel “1BF,” which has a solid track record when it comes to Battlefield leaks. According to their findings, Battlefield 6 is currently set to launch on October 10, 2025. The leak claims this date was discovered tucked away in data files and wasn’t supposed to be public, so it’s worth being cautious, but this is the most specific info we’ve seen so far.

That’s not all. The datamine also mentions something called a “Phantom Edition,” which looks to be a special version of the game. Unfortunately, there aren’t any concrete details about what’s included in this edition just yet. One other thing noted in the leak: there’s no sign of Russian language support in the files so far.

Here’s the full quote from 1BF’s report:

“The current release date for the game is October 10. Of course, this date could still change, and, in fact, it appeared somewhere we probably weren’t supposed to see it, so don’t take it as 100% confirmed. The game will also have a Phantom Edition. Russian language support is still missing from all the information we have so far.”

Battlefield 6 Pricing Details

On top of that, the datamine reveals Battlefield 6’s expected pricing tiers: the Standard Edition is set at about $70 or €70, while the Deluxe Edition comes in at around $100 or €100. The leak also points to a new distribution model for the game’s content. Multiplayer, battle royale, HD texture packs, and single-player are all mentioned as separate downloadable packs. Notably, the battle royale mode will reportedly be free to play.

“There are separate packs for multiplayer, battle royale, HD textures, and singleplayer. Which, overall, I already mentioned earlier,” the person said in the Telegram chat. “Basically, it’s like the Call of Duty system. The battle royale mode is free.”

Battlefield 6 Open Beta Details

The same source also shared details on the open beta. According to 1BF, a public beta build for Battlefield 6 is scheduled for August 4, 2025. Fans will get to try out a new system where they can either stick with class-locked weapons or use open loadouts for more flexibility.

There have also been previous leaks from playtests hinting at UI improvements, updated classes and gadgets, and some changes to movement and campaign features. All in all, it’s looking like EA is putting a lot of work into making this Battlefield the most exciting one in years.
