A new Destiny 2 leak has revealed full Marathon crossover armor sets and cosmetics.

Destiny 2: Renegades is finally here. The Star Wars themed expansion launched today and dropped new story content, activities, and loot for players to unlock. This expansion comes with new exotic gear like the Praxic Blade exotic sword which is essentially Destiny’s version of the iconic lightsaber, new Eververse armor sets (one is straight up Mandalorian set), and other legendary gear.

On the Marathon side, Bungie is pushing ahead with its extraction shooter as it works toward Sony’s current March 2026 fiscal year target. The studio recently announced another closed playtest scheduled for later this month, giving a group of players a chance to try the latest build.

Now, on top of that, it looks like we have our first proper look at full Marathon crossover armor coming soon to Destiny 2.

Marathon crossover armor coming to Destiny 2

Just like with previous content drops in Destiny 2, Bungie has updated its API with a new batch of gear tied to the Renegades expansion. Looking through the new entries, The Game Post spotted new armor ornaments that are Marathon themed and some other cosmetic items that look like they are bundled together.

In the API itself, these items are still using placeholder style labels, but leaked images tied to those entries make it clear what they are meant to reference and which class each set belongs to. The visuals match runner shells that Marathon fans will instantly recognize. Instead of simple one-off ornaments, this looks like three full armor ornament sets inspired by Marathon’s roles, one for each class: Titan, Hunter, and Warlock.

Alongside the armor, the API also references a cosmetic bundle that includes:

  • An exotic weapon ornament that appears to be for MIDA Multi-Tool
  • An exotic emote
  • A shader

Right now, it is not clear how these items will be available in game. There is no official announcement from Bungie yet. Based on how the bundle is flagged in the data, and the link to the in-game Eververse storefront, the most reasonable guess is that this will be sold through the Eververse store, likely as a paid bundle.

This would line up with earlier leaks and rumors around Marathon’s wider launch plans. Earlier this year, a new rumor surfaced suggesting that Marathon is targeting a $40 dollar base price, with a Deluxe Edition that includes season pass tokens, a cosmetic only season pass, and pre order bonuses that cross over with Destiny 2, such as a themed ship, Ghost shell, and Sparrow.

On top of that, The Game Post recently reported exclusive details on the upcoming Marathon ViDoc, new runner archetype names, the Loom cosmetic hub, and casting for key characters. If that ViDoc really is planned for the near future, it would not be a surprise to see Marathon pre orders go live around the same time, with these Destiny 2 crossover items used as a hook.

All of this also follows the recent resolution of the art theft controvery around the game, where independent artist Fern “Antireal” Hook confirmed she had reached an agreement with Bungie and Sony after her 2017 work was used in an early Marathon build without permission.
