Rockstar has spent the past week dealing with a steady run of GTA 6 leaks from Cyberleek, starting August 18 with footage of Jason playing basketball, driving around Leonida, fighting NPCs, using a taser and flying a plane.
Later clips moved into a gas station, strip club, beach and nudist location, while map images and crypto-backed polls turned the whole thing into a daily leak campaign. The pressure went up again today.
Rockstar publicly acknowledged the leaked gameplay, said development is nearly finished, and kept GTA 6’s November 19, 2026 launch date plus its August 27 Extended Look in place.
Around the same time, another Cyberleek clip showed Lucia briefly at the end, after days of footage focused mostly on Jason. Now Cyberleek appears to have followed through on the bigger and more spoiler-heavy Lucia leak.
GTA 6 Lucia prologue leak shows opening footage
Cyberleek has released a new 4 minutes 38 seconds of video, said to show Lucia’s prologue, following an earlier poll asking whether that story section should be posted. Reports earlier this week confirmed that the leaker was threatening to release Lucia’s opening material.
The clip also carries a new message from Cyberleek: “This build is actually recent and the game is not ready at all.” The overlay claims Rockstar has too much work left before reaching gold, accuses Sony and Rockstar of restricting ownership and resale, and alleges Rockstar employees are facing an excessive workload.

“This build is actually recent, and the game is not ready at all. Sony and Rockstar are killing your right to own and resell your games. And Rockstar is killing their own employees too. The work required to reach gold is way too much for so little time left.
“Trading volume/price is how CL measures your support. CL will not continue without support. You decide.”
The bigger claim is the one about the state of development. Cyberleek says the footage comes from a recent build and argues GTA 6 still needs too much work before it can go gold. That would be a serious problem this close to launch, but the leaker hasn’t provided anything beyond the footage itself to prove how recent the build is or how much work remains.
It also puts Cyberleek directly against Rockstar’s version of events. Rockstar said this week that development is “nearly there,” while the leaker is painting a very different picture behind the scenes. For now, those are two competing claims, and tomorrow’s Extended Look should give us a much better look at what Rockstar is actually preparing to ship.
The Extended Look airs August 27 at 3 PM ET, six hours before the footage reaches YouTube, giving us the first official chance to compare Rockstar’s current presentation with what Cyberleek has been posting.
