Destiny 2’s upcoming Halloween event will feature some new and returning items for players.
Festival of the Lost is one of the four annual events in Destiny 2, featuring Halloween-themed armor, and other cosmetics for players to unlock. The event comes around during the third season of the year
This year during Season of the Witch, Festival of the Lost returns with all-new armor sets, which have already been revealed, along with some exciting new cosmetics, including new Ghost Shells, Sparrows, Ships, and of course, Masks.

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2023 Start Date
The official release date of this year’s Festival of the Lost event is yet to be revealed by Bungie. However, based on the Season of the Witch seasonal challenges, it is estimated that the event will begin on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, and conclude on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2023 Items Datamined
JpDeathBlade, the creator of TodayInDestiny, recently shared information about the Festival of the Lost 2023 on X (formerly known as Twitter), revealing the models for the new items. It’s important to note that these items were gathered from the Destiny API and may appear slightly different in-game. First, let’s take a look at the new Spider and Beetle-themed armor.
- Titan: Crawling Chaos Armor (Spider-themed)
- Hunter: Mygalomorph Armor (Spider-themed)
- Warlock: Carapace Armor (Beetle-themed)
Similar to the previous Festival of the Lost events, there will be 8 new Masks that players can expect this time around. Here’s the list of all the Masks during the Festival of the Lost 2023 event.

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2023 Weapons
Festival of the Lost 2023 will also add one brand-new weapon and three returning weapons with updated perk pools. The new weapon coming with this year’s Halloween event in Destiny 2 is called Acosmic GSP. It’s 150 RPM Void Rapid-Fire Heavy Grenade Launcher. The other three returning weapons this year are; Jurassic Green (a 540 RPM Solar Pulse Rifle), Mechabre (a 72 RPM Arc Sniper Rifle), and Horror Story (a 450 RPM Stasis Auto Rifle). Check out the updated perk pools for these two weapons below.
