A recent Destiny 2 leak has revealed the “Past Is Prologue” quest with rewards like Artifice Armor, Exotic gear, Adept weapons, and more.
Destiny 2 Episode Revenant is in full swing, with Act 2 recently launching on November 19, 2024. This act has added the long-awaited Tomb of Elders activity and continued the seasonal story questline with new content.
Looking ahead, Bungie is set to release the annual Dawning event next week on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, which will add brand-new celestial dragon-themed armor sets for each class.
But it seems Bungie has more in store for players this episode. Thanks to datamined information from the game’s API, a mid-season event called “Past Is Prologue” appears to be on the horizon.
While Bungie has yet to officially confirm the details, the leaked information gives us a preview of what might be coming in this event.
Destiny 2 “Past is Prologue” Quest and Rewards
According to the leak (via destiny.report), the “Past Is Prologue” quest will involve completing different tasks and earning a new currency called Bento Tokens.
These tokens can be used to purchase a wide range of items, including Artifice Armor, Exotic weapon, Adept weapons, Exotic currencies, and Mementos.
Below is the complete list of datamined rewards along with their corresponding costs.
- Artifice Armor:
- Hinterland set (Hunter) – 2 Bento Tokens per armor piece
- Biosphere Explorer set (Titan) – 2 Bento Tokens per armor piece
- Ossuary set (Warlock) – 2 Bento Tokens per armor piece
- Exotic Gear and Currencies:
- Ascendant Alloy – 1 Bento Token
- Ascendant Shard – 1 Bento Token
- Exotic Cipher – 1 Bento Token
- Spoils of Conquest – 1 Bento Token
- Adept Weapons:
- Cloudstrike (Exotic Sniper Rifle) – 3 Bento Token
- Cataphract GL3 (Adept Grenade Launcher) – 1 Bento Token
- Igneous Hammer (Adept Hand Cannon) – 1 Bento Token
- The Hothead (Adept Rocket Launcher) – 1 Bento Token

While we don’t yet know when “Past Is Prologue” will arrive, it’s expected sometime this season. Additionally, it looks like the beloved Chatterwhite shader will also make its long-awaited return later this season, according to the leaked information.
