Destiny 2 players are about to get their hands on its latest annual expansion called Lightfall, releasing this week on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. The pre-load for the expansion is already live on all platforms. This means that, after downloading the update, players on PC can go through the game files to find all the new, unreleased items in the game.
According to the newly datamined items, it looks like we might have our first look at the brand-new Root of Nightmares raid loot in Destiny 2. We are going into spoiler territory, so if you wish to go into Lightfall completely blind, now is the time to stop reading the article.
Shortly after the Lightfall raid was leaked, Bungie officially announced that the Root of Nightmares raid will launch on March 10, 2023, at reset. However, that’s not the only thing that was datamined. Apparently, there have been some armor leaks for the raid as well. Take a look. (left to right–Hunter, Warlock, Titan)
Destiny 2 Lightfall Raid Loot Leaked
Along with the usual in-game rewards, Bungie also tends to release some Bungie Store loot for players with the release of every new raid in Destiny 2, including a raid jacket, raid ring, and the raid seal. You can check out the Root of Nightmares raid jacket and the Dream Warrior raid seal below.
As with every leak, this is your reminder to take everything with a grain of salt until officially confirmed. Bungie has already released the full soundtrack for Lightfall on every major streaming platform including Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, etc.
Earlier this month, Bungie officially announced that the contest mode for the Root of Nightmares raid will be active for 48 hours instead of 24 hours. The Lightfall raid launches on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 9 am PST with contest mode now being active until Sunday’s weekly reset.
Destiny 2 Lightfall launches on February 28, 2023, on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
