With Season 22 right around the corner, it’s time to get your gear and loot strategies in check. One key aspect that can often cause confusion among the players is the vendor engrams in Destiny 2, and which vendor will have its inventory reset with the launch of a new season.
We’re here to break it down for you so you can make the most of your loot as we transition into the new season.

Vendor engrams are the ones you get by leveling up different NPCs or vendors in Destiny 2. There are two types of vendors in Destiny – Seasonal and Non-Seasonal vendors. Seasonal vendors include Sonar Station (Season 22), War Table, etc., at the H.E.L.M.
Non-seasonal vendors that don’t have any link to the seasonal content, like Lord Shaxx for The Crucible, Saint-14 for Trials of Osiris, Commander Zavala for Vanguard Strikes, etc.
Now, you must be thinking, what happens to my Crucible/Gambit/War Table engrams when a new season kicks in? Well, we’ve got the answers.
In one of the recent weekly blog posts, Bungie has confirmed that any unclaimed Non-Seasonal vendor engrams will be removed from the player’s inventory. “As we approach the end of Season of the Deep, players should be aware that unclaimed non-Seasonal vendor engrams will once again be cleared from vendor inventories at the Seasonal transition,” said Bungie in a This Week in Destiny article. “Seasonal vendor engrams will remain until the next expansion launch.”
However, with Season of the Deep’s launch, Bungie stated that any “unclaimed vendor engrams will no longer be totally wiped when a new Season launches,” but will be capped at 99. So, there’s still some gray area that Bungie has yet to clarify.
From that, we’ve compiled a list of vendors in Destiny 2 that will and won’t have their inventory reset on August 22nd.
Vendor Engrams that Carry Over
- War Table (H.E.L.M.): These engrams will carry over into the next season, and will be available throughout Year 6. Capped at 99, when refreshed.
- Sonar Station (H.E.L.M.): These engrams will carry over into the next season, and will be available throughout Year 6. Capped at 99, when refreshed.
- Lord Saladin (Iron Banner): While Saladin is a non-seasonal vendor, the engrams will carry over into the next season, and will be available throughout Year 6, according to Bungie.
- Inventory: In the past, any engrams in your inventory carried over and since there’s no update regarding this, it’s fair to say that any Legendary, Prime, or Exotic engrams you have in your inventory are safe.
PSA
These engrams will not reset with the launch of the new season, and you can claim them anytime throughout Year 6, as per Bungie.
