Actor, known for his work on GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, hints at his involvement in a new Rockstar project coming in 2025-2026.
Ever since the first trailer for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 was released, fans have been on high alert, eagerly searching for even the smallest hint of new information. The trailer’s release sparked countless fan theories, detailed frame-by-frame breakdowns, and endless speculation.
From what we’ve seen so far, GTA 6 promises to be Rockstar’s most ambitious project yet, with two main protagonists, a Miami-inspired setting and a return to Vice City. The hype is real, and the stakes are high for one of gaming’s most iconic franchises.
Recent fan theories suggest that GTA 6 will introduce new gameplay mechanics, dynamic characters, and a sprawling open world that redefines immersion. The first trailer gave us a taste, but left many hungry for more details.
Now, new details have surfaced thanks to a YouTube interview where an actor who worked on GTA 5 hinted at a possible return to Rockstar’s universe. Could this mean a major role in GTA 6?
Actor Hints at Role in GTA 6
Actor Johnny Ray Gill, best known for his role in the TV series Cross, has fueled the excitement further. During a recent interview on the YouTube channel Check It TV, Gill hinted at his involvement in an upcoming Rockstar Games project.
While he stopped short of confirming GTA 6 outright, his remarks strongly suggest that this mysterious role could be connected to the next installment in the legendary franchise.
For added context, Gill has a history with Rockstar, having contributed voice work for the “local population” in GTA 5 and appearing in Red Dead Redemption 2.
When asked about his past work with Rockstar, Gill shared some insights into the process of recording multiple voices for their games. “Yeah man, I think I was earlier in my career and so they put the little helmet on you and they’re filming you and you’re doing multiple voices, you know, of different characters and stuff like that,” he said.
However, it’s his cryptic remarks about a new “situation” that stood out.
“I will say this, stay on the lookout,” he teased. “I can’t say anything, but there’s another situation happening [while winking] in that world that may be coming out in 2025, 2026 that I’m really hyped about.”
When asked if the project was GTA 6, Gill laughed and responded, “I mean, I don’t know, I don’t know. Stay tuned—we’ll see.”
While he didn’t outright name GTA 6, the way he said it strongly suggests that it’s a role in Rockstar’s GTA 6. It’s worth noting that Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has stated a Fall 2025 release for GTA 6.
However, recent insider reports suggest the game could slip into early 2026 despite these official claims. This adds even more urgency to every new clue or teaser that surfaces, and Gill’s comments only fuel the excitement.
In other news, a recent “leak” showcasing alleged new gameplay footage for GTA 6 quickly went viral across social media. However, it was later revealed that the footage was entirely fake and crafted by a fan.
What are your thoughts on this latest tease? Do you think Gill is hinting at a major role in GTA 6, or could he be involved in another Rockstar project? Let us know in the comments!
