Netflix released The Witcher season 1 back in 2019, on December 20th. With that being out of the way, fans are eagerly waiting for the next installment to this series. As we all know at this point that Netflix has already confirmed that The Witcher season 2 pre-production will start in early 2020 and later Henry Cavill (Geralt of Rivia) confirmed himself too, with an expected release in 2021, it seems now is the right time that we have location teases for this second installment for this show.
The Witcher Season 2: New Location Teased
While there will be more teasers in the near future, this time, we have a location just near the coast of Scotland. The place itself is called Isle of Skye which is already looking like a perfect location to shoot anything Witcher-related. Stephen Surjik (directed by Daredevil, Jessica Jones, the Umbrella Academy, etc), has been scouting new areas with The Witcher’s crew members in the search for the perfect location for season 2. “On the run with The Witcher scout crew, exploring remote settings,” says in the now-deleted Instagram post. With all of this news out in the wild, it seems that Stephen will be directing The Witcher season 2.
The Witcher season 1 is currently live on Netflix. They recently released an interactive map that can explain a lot about the Witcher season 1 and the past where it all started in The Continent. Furthermore, we have also some details on why Showrunner left out Jaskier’s hat in the series.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the latest release in the Video Game franchise released on May 19, 2015, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The title was released later in 2019 on Nintendo Switch.
