We’ve had a couple of releases in the Star Wars franchise from EA last decade. A new rumor on the web has surfaced which suggests that EA has been working on Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic remake.

According to the two different sources (cinelinx), one source suggests that Knights of the Old Republic “is back in development.” The other source says, “They felt it wasn’t so much a remake, but a “sequel” of sorts. It would be the Knights of the Old Republic project that would integrate elements from the first two games in order to bring certain things into the current Star Wars canon. Not necessarily a remake, so much as a re-imagining.” If this rumor is to be believed, which studio would you like to see behind this remake?

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic was originally released on July 13, 2003, releasing on multiple platforms including Android and iOS. The second installment in the franchise that was, KOTOR 2, released on December 6, 2004.

As nothing is confirmed about this rumor, we do suggest taking everything with a grain of salt. There have been many reports for the sequel of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which could be Project Luminous. Perhaps, that project is related to KOTOR remake. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
