Bungie has shared some updates regarding how some of the bounties will work in Destiny 2 in the upcoming The Final Shape expansion.
The Final Shape is less than a month away, and we are getting official details on new features and updates almost every other day. Just this week, Bungie revealed gameplay footage of the new Prismatic subclass, as well as the perk combinations for the new exotic class items coming with the expansion.

This time, we have some new information regarding how some of the bounties are changing in June with the launch of The Final Shape.
Destiny 2 is Changing How Ritual Bounties Work in The Final Shape
For those who are gearing up for The Final Shape and completing bounties to get a headstart in the upcoming expansion, there are some important updates to be aware of.
Firstly, Bungie has officially confirmed that Ritual bounties will be going away in The Final Shape. These are the bounties that you get from Lord Shaxx, Drifter, and Commander Zavala (Crucible, Gambit, and Vanguard). These bounties will be replaced with a new system called Pathfinder. Bungie revealed the UI for Pathfinder last year, but Bungie has received very little about it since then.
So, if players have stored bounties from these three vendors, it’s recommended to turn in those bounties right now as they will be removed on June 4, 2024.
The good news is that the weekly bounties that provide you with most of your experience are still available and remain unaffected. Additionally, players can continue to complete bounties from other vendors as well. To make it easier, we have compiled a list of all the vendors from whom players can still complete bounties. Here’s the official statement Bungie shared regarding the Ritual bounties update on X (formerly Twitter) earlier this week.
“In The Final Shape, we’re introducing the Ritual Pathfinder, a new rewards path that will replace Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit bounties and their weekly vendor challenge. While the Pathfinder will replace bounties at these vendors, they will remain unchanged at other vendors.
“We’ll have more info to share on the Pathfinder in the next couple of weeks. We wanted to give a heads up so everyone preparing for The Final Shape can prioritize how they spend their time. Any Ritual bounties held when The Final Shape releases on June 4 will be abandoned.”
